Print it or loose it!

So..long time no see! I´ve been crazy busy with starting my own business so I didn´t have time to post here..hell I even forgot I had a blog :D BUT here is something to think about..

You all probably use digital cameras (or phones like me) to make your precious moments last forever..but is it forever really if you just save it or upload it to some storage box? Who knows when there will be collapse of the network and one day everything might dissapear..

Don´t be sad though! It´s time to print it :)

Solution No. 1

Now you have thousands of pictures and you don´t even know where to start? Just take one precious photo of each month of last year and make yourself an album consisting of just 12 photos every year. That´s the least you can do to have a good night sleep :))

I do that every year since 5 years ago I use awesome colorful sticky photo corners grap couple of markers and have fun! TIP: nice couple activity too :)

Solution No. 2

Take all the photos from your holidays and make a book out of it! Or magazine if you don´t have that many :) There are loads of online shops where you just download an app put your pics together play with some design and order it. And voilá you have awesome book of memories :)

Solution No. 3

Start using Fujifilm Instax or this guy and make photos instantly!

Hope this was a help :)

Have a nice day y´all!

Hobbies, jobs and others

So as you can see I wasn´t really active on this blog this past year so let me tell you more about myself and the stuff that keeps me busy! I consider myself very creative person in many different ways (mostly art).

So my hobby as you know is collecting (and using) Lomo, Polaroid and Instax cameras. I really love this but sometimes it has to go aside because I have more stuff I need to concentrate on :)

First of all I paint/draw and it was always my dream to have an exhibition so year 2014 was THE year! I managed to have two exhibitions (both in Prague cafés) I set up my facebook page  and also my portfolio on tumblr (instead of my old one) it all made my happy but I knew this thing will be not easy to do for living (understand:to make enough money to live from:)

At the same time I felt burned out at my current job as an Office manager and even though I got a big (money wise) offer I had to refuse because I felt like it´s the time to start my own thing and do something creative.

So we come to my second hobby - which is now the thing I do for living - and that is designing and restoring old furniture. I started alterations in 2014 and really wanted to go big but I didn´t have enough time, space and money to do so. Then year 2015 started and by a happy coincidence (let´s say) I found online a person who saw my furniture, loved it and decided he wants to be part of it.
And that´s how we started our business! We bought all supplies and materials and I created first samples of furniture which we now sell here under the name Pink Robin! We also launched our facebook page.

I can´t tell you if this will work (yet) but I can tell you I´m 100% happy and I feel like I´m  ALIVE!

P.S. do something you love for living! or at least try it because it´s better to try and fail then never try at all (horrible cliché but true!)

Analog photo booth finally in Prague!

So I´ve always been a huge fan of instant photos (obviously :)) and I always wanted to go to that magical box where it takes four pics of you (each different). I knew there was nothing like that in Prague couple of years ago so I actually tried it first time in San Francisco and I loved it!
I wished it was here too and my dreams came true finally last year when I found out someone actually installed this Fotoautomat in Prague! I was very happy and had to try it..and wasn´t disappointed! Awesome black and white strip with four (crazy in my case) faces :)
All that fun for only 50czk/2bucks/1,50eur!

If you´re from Prague (or visiting) go to Vinohradská 111/109, Prague 3 /UPDATE: this photobooth is moving around Prague so just follow the facebook page to find out where it is currently:)/
Make sure to like their facebook page too!

Enjoy!

Can´t get any cuter..

After some time I got excited again for my camera hobby when I saw this little cube!

It´s a new product from Polaroid called C3 (not very sexy name is it?) it´s from their new line of action sport cameras and it is waterproof, shockproof and can make pics and videos (micro SD slot up to 32GB) also includes microphone and LED light. For "only" $99

So far my top cutest camera was Diana Mini but this cube is a new winner!
Goes to my wishlist of course :)

Polaroid i-Zone disappointment

So I was talking earlier about this lil fella. I didn't even know it existed and now I know why :D Bought very cheap (including expired film) and by "accident" two cams. You know how it doesn't matter that the film for Polaroid is expired and it's sometimes even better for the result? Well it turns out that in this case it matters and expired film for this camera will not work :( I'm pretty sure it's not because of the camera but the film. And of course they don't make new ones. So these two will go to my non-working cams collection (looking good on the shelf is their only responsibility now :)) These are the moments when I wish to go back in time and take pics with these..
One of my two i-Zone cams  ^
                                                                  "Developed" pictures ^

If any of you have an idea how to make these pics "work" again please let me know ;)

Happy moments in your life

Picking up developed film from the lab is one of the happiest and exciting moments for me - especially when the result is good :) And this time it was very good! I had my first roll of SuperSampler developed and loved almost every picture there. I have to admit I was a bit sceptical about the result after I couldn't get the film out because it was somehow stuck in the camera and I even had to open the back in the dark and "help" it a little which at the end worked great for some of the picures as they were exposed with a bit of light and therefore made interesting effect almost a "hipster" filter :D
None of these pics has been phoshopped or adjusted (only brightness)

Lomo Supersampler

Ok so I finally have time to write about my new (well, bought in april :)) camera Lomo SuperSampler!
It is very light like other toy Lomos but has different (rubber) surface. It feels soft like Batman's suit - not that I ever touched it :D but that's how I imagine it :) But it has one disadvantage - it gets scratched easily :(

As you can see it has four lenses in a row and can make four shots in two different speeds (there is a switch for that on the other side) Fun thing is the circle on the left which you pull before you take a picture! So much fun :)

Triple eye

I got my first roll of film exposed from my Lomo Robot. I have mixed feelings about this..I feel like I've been using it wrong way or something. I had this camera since winter till summer.
See for yourself.

Polaroid Cool Cam. So Cool!

Cool Cams!
Actual name for these colorful Polaroids (basically Polaroid Sun 600) because you have to admit - they are so COOL! First introduced in 1988.

Armadillos I wanna call them - top part with flash goes down when not used and makes a shape of a square armadillo ;)

My favourite one is the pink-grey combination aaand it goes to my wishlist :)

Action!

This is me caught in the action!

Update - New cameras!

Well, summer started and I didn't have time to blog about all the dreams that came true!
I got 2 cameras from my wishlist and one I didn' t even know exists!
Unfortunately I have no picture of the cameras..YET! This might sound crazy but I have no digital camera :D YET!
So just info..I will start with my latest catch - Polaroid I-Zone - tiny camera very toy makes very small instant pictures=stickers! Isn't that cool?? Can't wait to try it out! I bought it via czech auction portal it includes film of 6 pcs and it was very cheap too :) I already bought extra 12pic film on ebay.

Next gentleman in black suit is Lomo SuperSampler!I'm still in the "snap-snap" process I didn't finish my first film yet. I took him to a huge theme park with loads of rollercoasters and other fast moving stuff so I hope it will turn out to be awesome!

Last but not least is older brother to my mini sister. Blue Fujifilm Instax Wide 200 (there is also newer sexier version 210 but this one is more oldschool:)) I handmade a guestbook - photo album for my best friend's wedding and took my mini and wide to the wedding and snap snap snap I made the instant photo album where each guest could write something nice to the newlyweds :)
